How To Make Diwali Greeting Card

What is a Diwali Greeting Card?

It is a hand made greeting card made by pouring all our love for someone who makes an important place in our life. It is a way of wishing someone a Happy Diwali.

Here, we presented a step by step guide to make a Diwali Greeting card that is so natural and enjoyable to evaluate that your youngsters will cherish it as well. Without any further delay, lets start making our Diwali Greeting Card.

Things Required For Making Diwali Greeting Card

  • Red Paper – 2 in Quantity
  • White Paper – 2 in Quantity
  • Yellow Paper – 1 in Quantity
  • Pencil
  • Glue / Fevicol
  • Scissor

Steps For Making Diwali Greeting Card

Step 1)

Step 1 for making greeting card

First, fold the A4 Paper (Red paper in this case) in half as shown in the picture below.

Draw a partial / half heart on the red paper with the help of the pencil.

Now cut the heart shape as shown in the picture below and keep it aside successfully for further use.

Take another A4 size paper (White in this case) and fold it in half as we did with the red paper.

And try to imprint the same partial / half heart as we did on Red Paper. You can take help from the Red Paper which we cut earlier as shown in the picture below.

Now draw the same shape of partial / half heart with 1-2 cm offset to the earlier outline.

And then cut it with the help of scissor. (Cut through the second outline we created by offsetting) as shown in the picture below.

Stick the white paper onto the red paper just like a concentric circle having same center and keep it aside for further use.

Now make 4 circles of 4 cm radius from red paper.

How To Make Diwali Greeting Card

Now cut them from the diameter resulting in 8 semi-circles, then fold those 8 semi circles in half as shown in the picture below.

Now join these semi circles from the right-angled side with the help of Fevicol / Glue as shown in the picture below.

It’ll result in a 3D model like structure, keep it aside for further use.

Now take 4×6 cm paper and fold it in half in vertical direction as shown in the picture below.

Draw a partial / half shape like flame from the joint side.

Then cut it with the help of scissor.

Create the same for 2 times more with red paper and 3 times with yellow paper (3x5cm).

Now stick the yellow flame onto the red one with the help of Glue / Fevicol as shown in the picture below.

And follow the same with two other remaining sets.

Now stick all the sets together on one side to another, forming a single 3D model as shown in the picture below.

Step 20)

Now bring the first 3D model created in step 12 and the heart shaped letter created in step 8 and the flame like 3D model created in step 19.

And then join all the things together with the help of Glue / Fevicol as shown in the picture below.

Now write Happy on one flap of card and Diwali on another flap of card.

For decoration purpose, you can stick few beads on both the flaps of the cards with the help of Glue / Fevicol.

Now create another heart shape of card using white paper which we created from step 4 – 7.

And this time, stick that white paper on the outer side of the red card as shown in the picture below.

How To Make Diwali Greeting Card

You can again write Happy Diwali on the front side of the card or any other Diwali quotes which we mentioned at the last of this article.
