3 Food Items Which Are Not Popular To Eat During Diwali

Diwali is the celebration of devouring. It is that season when you meet your companions and family members that you have been wanting to meet throughout the year. During Diwali, people illuminate their homes with diyas, go shopping with loved ones, make various sweets items, perform prayers and light fireworks, and share gifts.

During this celebration, even the individuals who are on dieting also enjoy a bit. Since it is hard to oppose the sweets, chocolates, and spicy presented to us by family members and colleagues, we normally eat up more than expected and end up gaining a lot of weight. 

Since this is a religious festival, some food items are not popularly eaten during Diwali because they are considered bad items. And hence it is not consumed during Diwali.

Also, there is one scientific reason for avoiding Non-veg during Diwali. Due to evolving seasons, these food sources may cause toxic over-burden leading to diarrhea and other stomach-related issues. 

And that’s the reason, Non Veg food is not popular during Diwali.

In some Hindu scriptures, consuming Liquor is not good because we lose control of ourselves, leading to domestic violence. This makes the home’s environment very bad for a festival.

And hence liquor is not consumed during Diwali which makes it unpopular.

It’s seen that during Diwali, mostly people consume fried food items like Aaloo Bonda and lots of sweets like Gulab Jamun and Gajar Ka Halwa.

And hence people mostly forget to eat roasted food items, which makes it unpopular during Diwali.
